Most Original Production Of The Year!
The Chappies was a killer night with 11 Awards to shows hosted by BATS Theatre including The Most Original Production of the Year for Apollo 13: MIssion Control and Production of the Year for Mr.Marmalade. Big ups to all the Chapman Tripp award nominees and winners. Check out the full list of all the winners here.
Opening Tuesday is I’d Love to Have a Beer with Duncan. Come on down and have drink or two (the first one is free for anyone over 18) and come and check out this quick, clever, twisted, acutely funny new work.
Also in the house is Christmas Indoors. From the 2008 Bruce Mason Award winner Paul Rothwell. Book yourself indoors this season for one of the funniest shows you’ll see this year.

Duncan Sarkies spins yarns from his book Two Little Boys, due to be released in the UK in 2009. Come unwind and de-stress with Duncan; don't start the xmas holidays with a furrowed brow. This show is a fundraiser and proceeds will be donated to The Royal NZ Foundation for the Blind Talking Books Project.

It's party time at The Pit Bar yo ! As BATS wraps up for 2008, come down to your favourite local for an action packed week of festive madness.
Tuesday 9 December will be the final Scrabble night for the year. Your last chance to throw down your triple score, seven letter mean as obscure and genius word for the year!
The Pit Bar will host the 1st Annual Chapman Kip Theatre Awards - The People's Choice on Friday 12 beginning at 11pm. There will be spot prizes and Bar special drinks. Have you put your nominations up ? Come and hang with the whanau and party on down.
Saturday 13 The Pit Bar closes for the year. So get in before 3am (Sunday 14) for your last Pit tipple of 2008.
