Lotto Gives
Early Christmas Present of $1 Million to Hikurangi
Lotto First Division has just delivered an early Christmas present of $1 million to one very lucky player who bought their ticket at Hikurangi Four Square in Whangarei, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Todd McLeay.
“The small town’s population is only about 1,360, so we encourage all the residents who bought tickets at the Four Square to check their numbers - as they may have won $1,034,516 on Lotto First Division.
”This time of year some extra cash always comes in handy – but this player will now have a huge boost to their bank account,” says Mr McLeay.
Lotto Powerball First Division was not struck tonight, so the jackpot for next weekend will be worth an estimated $5 million.
Strike Four was won by two players, who bought tickets at Pak N Save Moorhouse Lotto Kiosk in Christchurch and Kelson General Store in Lower Hutt, winning $237,964 each.
Tonight’s other big winner was South Auckland man Hector Iefata who won the His and Hers’ Cars prize on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Pak N Save Richmond in Nelson. The serial number is 203-44491788-20XX.
“Anyone who bought a ticket at these retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries’ outlet," Todd McLeay says.
