Eric Prydz - Summadayze Cancellation
Eric Prydz - Summadayze Cancellation
Much to the chagrin of his fans down under, electro powerhouse Eric Prydz cancelled his Australian & NZ tour due to his fear of flying.
He will no longer be performing in Auckland for Summadayze on the 10th January 2009. To see a full list of all the other great acts still on the line up for Summadayze please see the below media release.
Says his management,
Mainstage Artists:
"It is with great regret that we must
announce that Eric Prydz has not travelled to Australia. It
has been well documented that Eric has had a history of air
travel issues and regrettably after having boarded his
flight in London he had to leave the flight and was unable
to re-board.
Another flight was then re-booked for the following day but again after boarding the flight, a panic attack ensued and he again had to leave the airplane, it was then decided to abort the tour. This is huge disappointment for all concerned, especially Eric and he sincerely apologises to all ticketholders of his scheduled events.
We can only apologise to Future Entertainment who have done everything in their power to make these shows possible and have been nothing less than professional throughout.

CALVIN HARRIS DJ Set
Calvin Harris invented disco.
No, Calvin Harris reinvented disco, a cult
producer-slash-singer-slash-bedroom-knob-twiddler slash DJ
who can make the banging-est of pop-dance tunes out of
bugger-all kit. Calvin Harris will make you jump around like
a silly-billy - the slamming likes of 'The Girls' and
“Acceptable in the 80’s” plus his own style of
infective disco madness will meet you on the dance floor at
Summadayze.

UTAH SAINTS
Displaying the crossover traits that made the Utah Saints
such a formidable force, Utah Saints’ recent release,
‘Something Good 08’ (Van She Tech Remix), is the biggest
dance record of 2008 so far… Already receiving heavy
daytime plays on Radio 1 from the likes of Jo Whiley and
Pete Tong, who’ve named it ‘Hottest Record In The
World’ and ‘Essential New Tune’ respectively. Having
sold over 6 million records to date, recorded with the likes
of REM’s Michael Stipe, and performed with U2 and others
on mega-stadium tours, Utah Saints remain one of the most
trail-blazing outfits within electronic
music.

STEVE AOKI
Steve Aoki.
The man behind Dim Mak Records who founded artists from Bloc
Party, The Kills, The Gossip, Klaxons and many more also is
the same man behind the production moniker Weird Science
that has remixed Peaches, Snoop Dogg and Bloc Party. Under
his own name, Aoki has remixed Duran Duran and Timbaland as
well as produced original work with internationally renowned
producer, Junkie XL. Wildly popular club promoter and DJ, if
you go out in Los Angeles at all, you know about Steve Aoki,
he has the hip factor—he has that following

THE POTBELLEEZ
The
Potbelleez are DJ-producers Dave Goode and Jonny Sonic,
sassy singer & MC Blue and vocalist Ilan Kidron. In October
2007 the band dropped ‘Don’t Hold Back’, which spent
an incredible 17 weeks at No.1 in the ARIA dance charts and
29 weeks in the ARIA Top 40 singles chart. Their follow up
single ‘Are You With Me’, hit the ground running as
Australian radio’s #1 Most Added Song to national
playlists. The Potbelleez live show is excitement plus, with
Dave and Jonny displaying their breathtaking skills over
four CDJ’s, two mixers and two FX units, while Blue and
Ilan weave their magic up front. The set-up is a proven
winner for music fans and promoters
alike.
