Work For Money And A Double Shot At Love

MTV Ain’t Nothing But Love And Money
In March

MTV’s March 2009 Programme Highlights

Work For Money And A Double Shot At Love

AUCKLAND, WEDNESDAY 18TH February, 2009 – MTV New Zealand are excited to announce the premiere screenings of two new shows on the network; a homegrown reality show highlighting MTV New Zealand’s development of local content and a spin off from the popular dating game show A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila.

Work for Money is a Kiwi take on MTV‘s I Want to Work For Diddy, it shows the trials and tribulations of finding an intern. Hip-hop DJ, producer and co-owner of Dirty Records P-Money is searching for the ultimate apprentice – someone who is capable of working with the best and assisting him with his numerous ventures, which previously included number NZ #1 single “Everything” with Vince Harder and current single “Angels”.

It’s not as straight forward as sending through a CV or attending an interview though; the willing contestants will battle it out in a number of challenges that will either make them or break them. One by one they’ll be eliminated until someone will Work for Money.

This home grown show highlights once again MTV New Zealand’s quest to “Act Globally, Think Locally”, an initiative continuing from their flagpole events.

As if the bi-sexual twist in A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila wasn’t enough, the makers have doubled the dosage. A Double Shot At Love takes identical twins Rikki and Vikki on a quest to find their ideal partner – male or female. However, the contestants don’t realise its not just Rikki who is looking for love…

Twelve straight guys and twelve lesbians will start living together and vying for the affection of Rikki, little knowing that throughout the evening, the twins will be switching places so they each get to know their would-be suitors. Will Rikki and Vikki find the love of their life? Will someone cotton on to their scheme?

MTV New Zealand will also be continuing some of your favourite shows throughout the month, with Pimp My Sunday’s marathon of shows including Cribs, Run’s House, Rob and Big, I Want to Work For Diddy and Pimp My Ride and the exclusive OK! Karaoke bringing timeless fun as you show them what you’ve got.

And then of course the wait is nearly over as the Vodafone MTV Australia Awards 2009 is only a month away with the big event promising performances and moments you would only expect from an MTV awards ceremony – this year direct from the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. The show premiere’s on MTV NZ at 9.30pm on March 27th.

Work for Money premieres on March 1st @ 8pm and repeats on March 2nd @ 5:30pm.
A Double Shot At Love premieres March 5th @ 8pm and repeats on March 6th @ 8:30pm.
