Miss Mica Bites Back At Pixel Ink Gallery

Symbolic artist Miss Mica Still opens her latest solo exhibition titled “Bite Me” at Pixel Ink Gallery on Wednesday 29th of April 5.30pm.

“Bite Me” is a collection of new and recent paintings curated by Miss Mica to express her current surly state of mind.

Miss Mica describes her art as a reflection of what is happening in her life.

“Maybe it is the economic doom looming in my consciousness,” says Miss Mica. “I want to growl at people for no other reason than just for the hell of it.”

Her trademark use of symbolism, real and imaginary in her paintings tells a loud and powerful story. In contrast to the quiet voice and shy nature of the artist herself.

“I find that my paintings speak louder and express more than I could ever verbally.”

“Enjoy and then BITE ME,” says Miss Mica with light-hearted amuse about the exhibition.

Pixel Ink Gallery director, Rosalind Clark said the raw emotion conveyed through symbols, like animal teeth growling, show a deeply intimate reflection of the artist at this time in her professional career.

“Bite Me” is something we can all relate to in one way or another.

The exhibition will be Miss Mica’s seventh show in the past four months. After the show the artist will be taking a break from exhibiting to focus on other ventures.
