The Waiheke Community Art Gallery has created an outstanding weekend long programme to delight, entertain and inspire you… whether you’re an artist, a keen amateur, or simply interested in innovative art forms and design. What better way to enjoy your last long weekend before Labour Day – cosy up with inspiration with some of NZ’s best talent.

Programme of Events
Saturday May 30th Seminar
Series in the Morra Hall 2 Korora Rd Oneroa, Waiheke
9.30am to 4.30pm
The Seminar Series profiles artists who are working with innovative mediums and forms, as well as revisiting some early forms of craft making.
The
Keynote presentation will be made by Paul Kayser, who
founded the website
Clever Bastards - 'The Best of NZ
Art and Design'.
Other presenters include Karl Chitham, Don Bassett, Esther Lamb, Anna Miles, Elizabeth Eastmond and Martin Adlington. All are highly experienced and well respected in their fields.
The Seminar Registration Fee of $45.00 includes Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea AND Drinks at the Gallery plus at least seven hugely respected and diverse speakers... outstanding value!
The Seminar Dinner will be held at one of Waiheke’s most highly rated restaurants, The Shed at Te Motu -, which was one of Viva’s 2008 “20 places you should eat in Auckland”. Bookings are strictly limited at the sensational price of just $70 per person, so get your registration in early.

Korora Rd Oneroa, Waiheke 10.00 am to 1.00pm
On Sunday May 31st there will be a Craft Market from 10am to 1pm also in the Morra Hall. Entry for visitors is free. Meet the artists, see their works and prepare to be inspired!
Artists can register for a space to buy, sell or swap their work.
Craft Market participation is $20 per sq metre. Those wishing to participate must register with the gallery on 372 9907, or complete the registration form on the website.
Monday June 1st Workshop
On Monday 31st there will be a WORKSHOP with Sue Pickernell (BFA PGDip FA) curator of Reclaim to Fame, the Waiheke Community Art Gallery's current exhibition.
