Pinch And A Punch For Lotto Winners

It’ll be a pinch and a punch for the first of the month for four lucky players – two from Christchurch and two from Manukau – after finding out they’ve each won a $250,000 share of Lotto’s First Division in this evening’s Lotto draw, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Todd McLeay.

The winning Lotto First Division tickets were sold at South City Lotto & Post and Edgeware Village Supervalue in Christchurch, plus New World Papatoetoe and Mangere Bridge United Video & Lotto in Manukau.

“What a great way to start the new month, and it’ll make the three day weekend even more special for these lucky players,” says Mr McLeay.

Lotto Powerball has jackpotted this week, and will be worth an estimated $4 million in next Saturday’s draw.

Strike Four wasn’t struck tonight so will be worth an estimated $200,000 in next week’s draw.

Tonight’s other big winner was 77-year-old farmer John Churton from Wanganui, who spun and won $150,000 on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Taradale Four Square, Napier. The serial number is 370-58714154-20xx.

“Anyone who bought a ticket at this retailer should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries’ outlet," Mr McLeay says.
