St John needs you now!
St John media release, 12 June 2009
St John needs you now!
If you have a serious car accident, heart attack or asthma attack, St John will be there as soon as possible to help you.
Around 7,500 volunteers and 2,000 paid staff work side by side to provide medical care, comfort and support to hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders every day of the year.
“St John is a charity and we rely on the generosity of people all over New Zealand to enable us to raise sufficient funds to help fund our ambulance operations and provide all our community support services,” St John Chief Executive Jaimes Wood says.
St John will be launching the “Flash a Light for St John Appeal” around St John Week which runs from Sunday 21 to Sunday 28 June.
All the community services offered by St John help keep people of all ages healthy and safe. With demand for Ambulance services increasing all the time, we need donations and community support more than ever.
Our community partner ASB is helping St John raise funds in the Flash a Light for St John Appeal by receiving donations at ASB branches and undertaking a range of fundraising activities nationwide
