NZRU announces new partnership with Telecom
The
New Zealand Rugby Union has announced today that Telecom
will be a major sponsor of the All Blacks after signing up
to a four year partnership.
In the first sign of Telecom getting Kiwis closer to the team and their commitment to exclusive and innovative experiences, the partnership will be celebrated with a ‘Get your All Black call-up’ event in Wellington today.
Members of the All Blacks squad will be calling fans to give away two hundred tickets to this Saturday’s crunch test match against the French, one once-in-a-lifetime chance to stand sideline and experience the power of the All Blacks haka, and one trip for two to watch the All Blacks in France later this year.
NZRU CEO Steve Tew said, “Re-launching our partnership with Telecom is a very exciting development, bringing together two iconic New Zealand brands.
“Telecom is proudly New Zealand and a natural fit to be supporting the All Blacks as we head into some of the most important years of rugby ever seen in this country. Being able to communicate with fans has never been more important, and Telecom has invested in a world class infrastructure that can take that connection to a whole new level. We are very proud to have Telecom as our partner, with the experience and technology they can provide and their tremendous passion for the All Blacks.”
Telecom Retail CEO Alan Gourdie said the
partnership will mean exclusive All Black content and events
for Telecom customers enabling them to get right in behind
the team.
“And we are thrilled to be supporting the
team with access to the latest in communications technology,
including the best international roaming through Telecom’s
new XT mobile network.
“From Bloemfontein and Sydney to Milan and London, the boys are on the road a lot this year but we’ll make sure they don’t miss out on precious family time or the support of their friends and fans back home.
“We’re honoured to be back in black and are very excited by the chance to use our great range of tools and technologies to get our customers closer than they’ve ever been to New Zealand’s most high profile team.”
