Gold Medal - Pisa Range Estate’s Latest Release

Pisa Range Estate pinot noir has been recognised by a select group of Australian wine judges Chaired by James Halliday.

The 2007 Pisa Range Estate “Black Poplar Block” Pinot Noir has been awarded a Gold Medal at the 2009 Winewise Small Vigneron Awards held in Australia. “We are very pleased with this result” said Pisa Range Estate owner, Warwick Hawker.
“This adds to the growing list of Gold Medal/5 star ratings our wine has achieved internationally over recent vintages”.

“We are always striving for consistency in our wine and to have the pinot noir year on year achieving this high standard is very exciting. This award is very timely and I can’t think of a better way to launch our 2007 vintage which is being released this week. It will soon feature on lists at fine dining restaurants and fine wine outlets throughout New Zealand, Australia, UK, Hong Kong, New York USA, Canada, Japan and Cayman Islands” “As pioneer grape growers of the Pisa district in Central Otago vine age is beginning to have an influence on the wine, producing a very fine sensuous pinot noir” he said.
