International Event: The Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10 K Run
Over that last few years Middlesbrough, a highly populated town in North East England’s Tees Valley conurbation, has emerged as one of the leading destinations in the provision of road races. Middlesbrough Council invites competitors to register for the annual Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10 k which will be held on September 6, 2009.
Established as one of the major 10k road races in the country, The Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10 K Run has become one of Middlesbrough’s most popular events as it encourages athletes, fun runners, fundraisers and the community to come together for a great cause. Those who enter are not only promoting their own fitness and health, but also raising much needed funds for the many valuable charities in the community.
Last year's run attracted 3,000 entrants of all different ages and abilities from around the UK and the rest of the world. This year is set to be even bigger and better with the hope of setting a new record of over 5,000 competitors taking part in the run.
The race will be held slightly earlier than normal so Middlesbrough Council encourages entrants to book early to secure a spot in the race. Competitors can register online via www.middlesbrough10krun.com.
