Jimmy Barnes Is Officially A Legend

Jimmy Barnes Is Officially A Legend

‘The Rhythm and The Blues’ debuts at #1 on the ARIA Album Charts

The phrase gets bandied around a lot in connection with his name, but it’s now official. Jimmy Barnes is Australia’s greatest music legend, racking up his ninth #1 solo album with The Rhythm and The Blues.

Its debut at #1 on the ARIA Album Charts this week confirms Jimmy Barnes has secured more #1 albums in the ARIA charts than any Australian artist ever. Factor in Jimmy’s two chart-toppers from his Chisel days and he and U2 jostle it out with eleven ARIA number ones for first place.

The Rhythm and The Blues showcases classic tracks from the late 40s through to the 60s making up what some are calling Jimmy’s best album ever. Since recording The Rhythm and The Blues, Jimmy has been hard at work, touring extensively across Australia, with a number of dates to come in late 2009 and early 2010. There will be no shortage of opportunities for fans to catch up with Jimmy live.

Single “Red Hot” is now at radio and the album The Rhythm and The Blues is now available in stores, as a CD, strictly limited edition 60’s retro-version CD (with exclusive hidden track), download and 12” Vinyl.

Discover for yourself why this album is being considered a career defining album for the one and only Jimmy Barnes.
