Free events for anyone involved in the Arts.

22nd September: Photographing Art – The importance of presentation

Jenny Siaosi presents the second Arts Hub Forum, hosted by Hutt Valley Community Arts. In this forum Jenny will cover the importance of recording our artworks, the significance of presentation and in particular how to photograph your work. She will be going over the basic techniques to achieve a professional finish in your photos and will also cover the options out there for portfolio presentation.

Jenny is an award-winning NZIPP qualified photographer. Together with Larissa Warren she owns FineLine Design and Photography.

Jenny received a Diploma in Fine Arts, from Whitireia Polytechnic in 1995. Since then her life has included voluntary work abroad in Indonesia with potters in Lombok, managing a community art centre through I.H.C for adults with an intellectual disability, and gaining a Post-graduate Diploma in teaching art to secondary school students.

She has worked extensively in the Hutt; for Take 5 and Te Whare Marama, managing the community art space for mental health consumers. This job included organising exhibitions and auctions to raise the profile of the artists, as well as increasing awareness in the community around mental health.

In May 2005 she started her own photography business.

Examples of Jenny Siaosi’s award winning work can be seen at ww.fineline.net.nz.
Jenny is available for interviews.
