The Grove Restaurant Unveils New Menu

Just in time for spring, Head Chef Benjamin Bayly has unveiled his first modern and sophisticated menu for The Grove restaurant.

Strongly relying on fresh local ingredients, Chef Bayly’s new menu stays true to the unique style of fine dining from which The Grove has forged its stellar reputation. The menu combines contemporary New Zealand cuisine with traditional flavours to offer a refined culinary experience like no other.

Bayly’s flair for flavour combination is evident throughout the menu. Dishes such as the Crayfish & salmon terrine, pink grapefruit and watercress emulsions demonstrate his creativity, while Bayly also incorporates classic combinations such as the Crispy pork cheeks, salt baked celeriac, bitter greens and truffle oil. A tasting menu offers diners the opportunity to sample a hand picked selection of Bayly’s most exquisite dishes.

Desserts are simply glorious, allowing taste to take centre stage with a sublime selection of harmonious flavours. The menu also includes a sumptuous assortment of New Zealand and imported cheese, perfectly balanced by an impressive 250 bottle wine list.

Says Chef Bayly, “I am constantly inspired by the fresh ingredients we have in our reach and wanted to utilise these to the best possible advantage. Keeping this in mind, I also wanted to add a modern twist that ultimately focuses on flavour.”

The new menu is perfectly complemented by the elegant, yet relaxed restaurant setting.
