STAMP at THE EDGE® launches Spring Programme
MEDIA RELEASE: 1 October 2009
STAMP at THE EDGE® revels in its programme’s success and launches its eclectic new programme for Spring and Summer.
STAMP at THE EDGE® releases its programme for October 2009 - April 2010 this month, featuring seven innovative new productions that embody the STAMP vision of presenting theatre, music and dance with a distinctive New Zealand flavour and ensure live theatre goes from strength to strength.
The previous STAMP season was met with critical and audience acclaim. Two-thousand Aucklanders brought home Hackman’s Apollo 13: Mission Control and Eru Dangerspiel’s Good News for the Modern Man sold out and left many Aucklanders without tickets disappointed.
Craig Cooper, Associate Director of Arts Programmes, THE EDGE® is excited about the latest line-up. “We start off the season with hip hop dance work “Under the Influence” in October and follow that up with Kirk Torrance’s new play Flintlock Musket in November. We have five more shows in the first part of 2010 that are equally as diverse and exciting.”
“STAMP is focused on supporting the development of New Zealand artists and connecting them with new audiences. The current season promises to delivery unexpected performances best experienced live,” he said.
