MT Ruapehu Cools Down With Season Pass Price Freeze
-NZ first offer for snow enthusiasts-
In a New Zealand first, Mt Ruapehu is offering season pass purchasers the chance to freeze their purchase price for three years.
The offer comes off the back of a bumper year at Mt Ruapehu which saw the 2009 season extended at Turoa until yesterday (Sunday 8 November), making it the longest in the Southern Hemisphere and Mt Ruapehu’s recent history.
2010 season passes go on sale today until 30 November for the discounted price of $370 (adult) and $230 (youth). Those wanting to take advantage of the three-year price freeze deal must purchase a season pass each year at the same time.
Mt Ruapehu’s Marketing Manager, Mike Smith says there is a huge incentive for Kiwis to purchase their 2010 season pass this month.
“This is the first time that any Ski Area operator in New Zealand has offered this three year price freeze deal on season passes, and it certainly makes Mt Ruapehu the Ski Area boasting the best value,” says Mr Smith.
As well as being cheaper than purchasing in April next year (adult passes will be $395) those who purchase a pass this month are guaranteed to only pay $370 each year until 2011 (for the 2012 season).
“Imagine you could be enjoying Mt Ruapehu during the 2012 season for the same price you paid in 2009 - so there are no worries about inflation or price increases,” says Mr Smith.
As an added bonus, those who purchased a 2009 season pass in November 2008 for $350 will keep paying only $350 until 2011 (for the 2012 season).
Mt Ruapehu season passes can be purchased online at www.mtruapehu.com or by phoning 0508 RUAPEHU (0800 782 734) from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
