Thistle Hall Announces Art Sale

Thistle Hall is a vibrant community centre in the heart of New Zealand's cultural capital. We provide a community hall, meeting room and Wellington's only community gallery showcasing a range of artists and crafts people, from the established to the emerging. Thistle Hall is located on the corner of Cuba and Arthur streets. The shows on at Thistle Hall Community Gallery are run by the artists who hire it.

Thistle Hall Community Venue is very pleased to announce our annual $100 (50/50 split) art sale.


There’s something for everyone!


Come and check the work out during viewing times - 1.00-4.00pm Thurs 3 & Fri 4 December


Sale is 6.00 - 8.00pm Friday 4 December.


Also open 11.00am-5.00pm Saturday 5 December.

Cross-media “mix-tape” of works from Wellington's next kept secret!


Opening 5.00pm Monday 7 December, then open daily 9.00am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, and 10.00am - 1.00pm Sunday 13 December.


A diverse selection of drawings, paintings, jewellery, sculpture and photography from a collective of emerging Wellington artists and jewellers.


This exhibition fuses a variety of techniques and media from a teddy bear crocheted from recycled shopping bags, painted recycled paper on board, fine and contemporary jewellery to experimental photography.
