Some of the biggest acts at the Big Day Out will put down their guitars, microphones, drumsticks and whatnot, and pick up their marker pens for a date with their fans at the MySpace Signing Tent.

Getting up close with the stars at the MySpace Signing Tent has been one of the highlights of previous Big Day Out events and this year will be no exception Who can forget the sight of hundreds of Slipknot fans (otherwise known as maggots) queuing for Slipknot scribbles? Major International acts including Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, Mastodon, Rise Against and Dead Prez will be drawing the crowds, as well as local heroes; The Checks, Midnight Youth and Gin Wigmore.

To gain access to the MySpace Signing Tent attendees need to go to www.myspace.com/bigdayoutauckland and register their mobile number. They will be sent confirmation via SMS which will be their ticket into the tent.

MySpace staff will be on hand on the day to register those who have not already done so, and to demo the new MySpace Music product which allows users to stream music from a catalogue of millions of songs as well as create and share playlists all for free.
