Award-Winning Operatunity Back In Town For 2010

Award-Winning Operatunity Back In Town For Twenty Ten

New Zealand’s much-loved daytime concerts are back and better than ever this year, with some new venues and extraordinary young talent to boot.

Romanian-born soprano Alex Ioan is just one of the stars appearing in Operatunity’s first show; ‘From Broadway to Westend’ – featuring beloved favourites and some new gems from the hit shows of these famous theatre districts.

Ioan, who began performing with Operatunity last year, says the difference with these shows comes down to the audience.

“I love Operatunity’s audiences because they enjoy the concerts so much,” says Ioan.

“They are probably the most appreciative audience I have ever sung to.”

At just 24, Ioan has already gained a Masters in music from Auckland University, and is an Emerging Artist with NBR New Zealand Opera for 2010. After being crowned Top Group at the 2009 Variety Artist Club awards, Operatunity’s concerts are set to dazzle and delight audiences from Whangarei to Invercargill.

The themed concerts comprised of timeless tunes offer audiences a chance to interact with the artists by sharing lunch with them after the shows.

Tickets are just $27 with lunch included, available online at www.operatunity.co.nz or by calling toll free on 0508 266 237. Seats fill up fast so bookings are essential.
