Comrades – if you haven’t already secured your tickets to this year’s Cadbury Crunchie Comedy Gala, we’ve got some very, very bad news for you.

For the fifth year running, the opening gala event has sold out, with the ASB Theatre in the Aotea Centre packed to the rafters to see the likes of Rove McManus (AUS), Jimeoin (IRE), Chopper (AUS), Ben Hurley (NZ) and many, many more.

We’re not kidding you. This is not a ploy. It has legitimately sold out… oh, and by the way, it’s been the fastest sell-out crowd in festival history.

This revolution will be televised; TV3 will be filming the whole event, to be screened for those who missed out on the live show.
