New Zealand’s Sexiest Politicians Wear Blue

New Zealand’s Sexiest Politicians Wear Blue Reveals Survey

A survey on the sexiest New Zealanders, commissioned by sexual well being experts Durex, has voted Prime Minister John Key and Auckland Central MP Nikki Kaye as our hottest parliamentarians.

The Durex survey questioned over 700 Kiwis on the sexiest New Zealand politicians, celebrities and couples in the lead up to Valentine’s Day.

Prime Minister John Key took out the title of Sexiest Male Politician, winning 43% of the votes. Fellow National party members Simon Bridges and Bill English took out second and third place, with 33% and 10% of the votes respectively.

Leading the ladies was another National politician, Nikki Kaye, with 32% of respondents voting the Auckland Central MP the sexiest. National MP Melissa Lee was in second place with 24% of the votes, followed by the only Labour MP to make it into the top three, Jacinda Ardern (19%).

Unsurprisingly, the title of the Sexiest Male Celebrity went to Dan Carter (37%), followed by his All Black teammates Richie McCaw (15%) and Richard Kahui (13%). Showing that a Victoria Cross can be just as sexy as a black jersey, Corporal Willie Apiata made a surprise appearance at number four with 10% of the votes.

Sexy singing sensation Gin Wigmore was voted the Sexiest Female Celebrity with 27% of the votes. Fellow blonde bombshells Hayley Holt (14%) and Toni Marsh (10%) were awarded second and third place for their sex appeal.

Attractive and athletic pair Dan Carter and Honor Dillon received the highest proportion of votes (45%) for the Sexiest Couple Award. Radio duo Dominic Harvey and Jay-Jay Feeney came in second (18%) followed by Dean and Mandy Barker (13%).

When questioned on which two international celebrities would make up a ‘dream threesome’, the hot favourites were Johnny Depp (34%) and Jessica Alba (28%).

Survey respondents were also questioned on the cougar trend; with 52.5% of people saying cougars were ‘sexy’ and 47.5% calling the cougar stereotype ‘tragic’.

Interestingly, the majority (78%) of New Zealanders believe that the cougar is here to stay, with only 22% of respondents saying the cougar is destined for extinction.
