Girl Guides offer try-before-you-buy

Please Support Your Local Girl Guides This Weekend
Girl Guides call for New Zealanders to rally behind them

GirlGuiding NZ is calling on New Zealanders to continue supporting their biscuit-selling season.

The Girl Guides will be out selling biscuits this weekend, and will have some free samples on offer for people to taste the biscuits before they purchase.

While the plain Guide biscuits may look a little different than usual, the Girl Guides are keen to reassure locals that they still taste great. The recently-reported appearance issue has affected the plain biscuits only – not the choco- coated plains and mini chocolate biscuits. All three varieties are just as delicious as usual.

Popular foodie and former Girl Guide, Allyson Gofton has also created a special Guide biscuit recipe for everyone to try at home. Rocky Road Fudge with Guide Biscuits are sure to be a hit with the kids, and will taste even better knowing you are supporting a good cause.

The annual Guide biscuit-selling season is an extremely important fundraiser for GirlGuiding NZ, which is a registered charity. More than 45% of their annual funds are usually raised during this time.

It’s thanks to ongoing support from New Zealanders that GirlGuiding is able to continue. All profits raised through the annual sale of Guide biscuits go back into Guiding to benefit girls and volunteers across New Zealand.

So please, come on down, try them for yourself and show your support for your local Girl Guides this weekend.
