Are you ready for rural rivalry?
The search is now on to find eight rural bachelors to compete for the title of Fieldays Rural Bachelor of the Year 2010. Eligible bachelors should be over 18, work within the rural industry and have a can do, Kiwi bloke attitude. If you think you have got what it takes, or know someone who is the ideal rural bachelor, entries are now open.
There is a preliminary selection process to determine the final eight bachelors who will then compete at Fieldays, staying in the top secret bachelor pad. Over the four days, the boys will be tested on their farming ability and genuine character in a range of challenging and fun heats. The competition is fierce as the bachelors are contesting for over $20,000 worth of prizes, the legendary Golden Gumboot and the glory of being New Zealand’s Rural Bachelor of the Year 2010.
Due to the popularity of the ladies afternoon in 2009, the Rural Good Keen Girl competition has emerged. Consequently, we are also searching for eight single, rural girls who think they can keep up with the bachelors. The female equivalents will compete in the same heats alongside the lads on Friday 18th June, although not in direct competition. If you are a female, over 18, are employed in the rural sector and are able to get to Fieldays; we want to hear from you!
With awesome prizes up for grabs, now is your chance to compete in the Rural Bachelor of the Year competition or the Rural Good Keen Girl competition. This years generous competition sponsors include; Classic Hits, Swanndri, Skellerup, Stihl, Cook Island Tourism, Leisurerite Spas, Cycle Time, Hyundai and Manuia Beach Boutique Hotel.
