NZ Three Tenors Return

MEDIA RELEASE – June 8, 2010

NZ Three Tenors Return

Back by popular demand after a sell-out nation-wide tour, Three Tenors and a Soprano returns for a second round of spine-tingling, soul-ringing performances.

The show, which received standing ovations at every performance for its daytime tour, features tenors Benjamin Fifita Makisi, Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua, and Derek Hill, soprano Susan Boland and pianist Alex Wiltshire in these special evening encore performances.

Makisi, dubbed the “Pacific Pavarotti”, says the performers in the show all compliment each other, and this concert is a highlight for him because of the repertoire.

“Operatunity audiences are so friendly, and come with an open mind and open hearts,” he says.
“We are there to feed their souls with such passionate and awe-inspiring music in the likes of Amazing Grace, My Way, and all the favourite Neopolitan and Italian operatic arias.”
The show features music made famous by the Three Tenors, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti.

After a tremendous response for Operatunity’s first round of Three Tenors and a Soprano for the daytime concert tour, a longer, larger, more extravagant concert has been put together for all those who missed out the first time, or want to come again.

The one-night only evening gala performances will be held at 8 selected venues around the country in Orewa, Remuera, Tauranga, Taupo, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, and Invercargill.
