Bride Day Friday

MEDIA RELEASE

8th July 2010

Bride Day Friday

From Gay Men In Kilts To Would Be Brides Dumped Just Before The Wedding They All Will Be Taking Part In Bride Day Friday.

It’s National Bride Day this tomorrow and people of all sorts of wedding stories will be joining the party at Fratelli to celebrate another chance to wear that special dress.

“I got dumped just a matter of days before the wedding, and the dress is just simply bad luck. After the lunch I plan to dump it and move on” says Cara McKinnon of Wellington.

Cara will be joining up to 50 other people in Wedding dresses tomorrow for a chance to win a incredible honeymoon to Honolulu, someone will also walk away with a beautiful diamond ring, hidden in one of the wedding cup cakes to be eaten at the lunch.

“I’ll be wearing my Kilt” says Euan who married his soul mate Graham in a civil union ceremony in March. It should be fun and looking forward representing gays and getting to wear my white Kilt again.”

Kelly Field from Lower Hutt can’t make it to the special lunch but says “I’ll be wearing my dress to get the groceries, my friends won’t be taking part they all think I’m crazy”.

“It’s bit of a gloomy winter, and we just wanted to give Wellingtonians the chance to have some fun with something you spend a small fortune on, have sleepless nights over and only normally been a wear once, and at the same time be in to win an incredible all expenses paid holiday!” Says Dan Boyd from More FM.
