Christchurch Boys’ High celebrating the school’s 41 All Blacks

Christchurch Boys’ High School is celebrating its 41 All Blacks at AMI Stadium on August 5, two days before the Bledisloe Cup rugby match at AMI Stadium.

About a dozen of Christchurch Boys’ All Blacks will attend the celebration dinner, organiser Allanah Uren said today.

``But families of all 41 of our All Blacks will be at the dinner,’’ she said. The evening includes auction of memorabilia, All Black tops and other items.

Some of the school’s All Blacks include Fergie McCormick, Dan Carter, Daryl Gibson, Dave Hewett, Nathan and Aaron Mauger, Bob Duff, Tony Steel, Andrew Mehrtens, Owen and Ben Frank, Adam Thomson and Jim Parker.

Rugby exert Keith Quinn said he understood Auckland Grammar School boasted the most All Blacks (52), then CBHS, then Wellington College 35.
