Stop Drop and Roll

Richter City Roller Derby’s season opener is here, Stop Drop and Roll hits the TSB Bank Arena in Wellington on July 24.

Brutal Pageant and Smash Malice will battle it out at the TSB Arena to claim team leader status in the three game season.

New team line-ups for this season includes crowd favourites Suffer Jet, Perky and Silken Dagger fronting up for Pageant and Tuff Bikkies, M.E.O.W and Rocket Queen putting it all on the line for Smash Malice. We also have 13 new derby stars debuting in Stop Drop and Roll.

Online commentators are speculating that Pageant may have the upper hand when it comes to speed and agility but Malice come to the party with superior power and stability, a match sure to make for some exciting roller derby.

With titillating commentary from Jarrod Baker (Ghetto Anger), Hadyn Green (aka Bullet Surprise) and guest MC Iain Kenderdine (aka Mic Riot), scintillating half time entertainment from Wellington Batucada and music by DJ Forge – this is the best value for money sports excitement in Wellington this year.
