Exclusive JASMAX architectural tour supports YWCA

Press Release For immediate distribution 27/7/2010

Exclusive JASMAX architectural tour supports YWCA’s work in
empowering our young women

Four Director’s from New Zealand’s largest commercial architectural firm JASMAX have joined together to open up their homes as an auction prize for the YWCA Auckland’s 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner. Part of the “items which are difficult to buy” auction, the JASMAX tour is an opportunity never offered before by the Directors.

The auction prize includes a tour of each of the four homes, located in Herne Bay, the Viaduct, Newmarket and Remuera with the respective designers and home owners. Morning tea and a gourmet lunch, with wine from Ara Wines, for up to eight people will be provided during the half day tour.

JASMAX director Andy Anderson says “This is one of the ways JASMAX likes to give back to community. As a commercial firm we don’t often have the opportunity to talk about our own residential work and supporting the YWCA Auckland on this occasion is a way of demonstrating what we all can do.”

“Supporting our mentoring programmes for young women with this extra special chance is a great endorsement of the work we do in developing women’s leadership, in this our 125th year,” says YWCA CEO Hilary Sumpter, “we are extremely grateful to JASMAX, and I’d love to be part of that group of eight lucky people!”

The auction for this exclusive tour is part of the YWCA Auckland’s 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner being held on August 11th at the Langham Hotel. For tickets or to view the other auction items go to www.akywca.org.nz.
