Tripod Music success brings more NZ reggae to Mangere Bridge

Tripod Music & Management are set to kick off another round of quality NZ reggae gigs at the Wanderers Club, Mangere Bridge Tavern, continuing their ambition of bringing live entertainment to the suburbs.

Following the success of the first round of gigs which happened fortnightly during May, June and July, the next line-up is due to start on the 10th of September with soulful reggae band Unity Pacific confirmed as the opening act. Over the 12 week period reggae fans will be given the opportunity to see their favourite bands from the first round of gigs such as the powerful and inspiring South Auckland based Sweet & Irie and the infectious reggae, rock, dub & roots fusion style of Sons of Zion. One new comer to Wanderers Club but already prominent on the Auckland circuit is Tenement Yard with their fresh style of reggae and rocksteady with a unique Pacific feel. Soljah is another new addition to the Mangere Bridge line-up and this 5 piece unit is certainly making waves with their mesmerising live performances and ground stomping sound. Talented Maori singer/songwriter Maisey Rika who has one of Aotearoa's most impressive lead vocal styles will also be warming the stage with her honest and thought invoking messages.
