It’s Time To Bid For Charity!

It’s Time To Put Your Hand In Your Pocket And Bid For Charity!

A stunning necklace designed and donated by Bruce Jackson of Unio Goldsmith & Fine Contemporary Jewellery Gallery goes up for auction on Trademe on Friday 3rd September and all proceeds will go to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

The beautiful pendant is 9ct gold with a pink pearl, pink tourmaline, blue topaz, amethyst and a section of 18 diamonds hanging on a fine chain.

This piece also has a unique twist - the pendant has been hung in a wall mounted frame that can be removed easily through a door in the back, therefore not only being a piece of jewellery but an artwork as well!

Bruce says: “I have based it on a design by European jewellery designer Bulgari. After donating a Pink Topaz and Diamond ring to Hot Pink last year which I found a hugely rewarding and satisfying experience, I was approached by one of my customers asking if I was going to participate again this year. She very kindly donated the diamonds I have used in this piece as in her family history, breast cancer has had a devastating effect.”

The necklace will be auctioned off as part of a week of Hot Pink promotion in Hastings which culminates in the Hot Pink Charity Cocktail Party on the 17 September at the Hawke’s Bay Opera House Plaza from 6pm to 9pm. The event will embrace the iconic wineries, food and wonderful entertainment together on one dazzling occasion.

This year’s wineries will include: Askerne Estate Winery, Bridge Pa Vineyard, CJ Pask Winery, Clearview Estate Winery, Salvare Estate, Trinity Hill, Unison Vineyard, Black Barn Vineyards, Elephant Hill Estate Winery, Esk Valley Estates, Lime Rock Wines and Sileni Estates. Proceeds from the Hot Pink Charity Cocktail Party will benefit the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation initiatives and programmes. Tickets are available from Ticket Direct for $28 (booking fee applies – www.ticketdirect.co.nz – 0800 4 TICKET) or visit www.hastingscity.co.nz
