Plunket partners
with First National to help the next generation
Real estate network First National has teamed up with Plunket to help provide for New Zealand’s future generations.
First National Group’s new Charitable Foundation has just named Plunket as its prime beneficiary. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the two organisations in Wellington, representing the start of a unique long-term relationship.
Plunket chief executive Jenny Prince said Plunket was delighted to be the Foundation’s first recipient and welcomed First National as its preferred real estate partner.
“This is a very exciting development for Plunket as First National also represents both the Kiwi and community elements that make Plunket what it is to over 90 per cent of babies and their related families and neighbourhoods,” Brendan Holland, Commercial Manager at Plunket says.
“The relationship allows a healthy mix of contribution from both First National, and the First National Foundation, to make a such a difference at a local level. And what an innovation to think that a house sale can now directly contribute to its surrounding community.”
First National Foundation chairwoman Jill Quaid said the aim of the partnership was to help Plunket provide more support services to families in New Zealand.
“The First National Group NZ Ltd Charitable Foundation was set up for the betterment and education of the young people of New Zealand.
“Plunket is the largest national provider of support services for the development, health and wellbeing of children. They are dedicated to helping New Zealand’s families.
“First National Group is a nationwide provider of housing and real estate needs to families and individuals. Because our branches are locally owned and operated, our people are major investors in their communities and want to make a difference.
“Many of our members and their staff have long been involved in helping Plunket at a local level so taking it to a corporate sponsorship level was a natural progression.”
Plunket’s brand values include
attributes of reliability, integrity, trust, safety and
security.
Mrs Quaid said First National’s brand
values matched these, evident through being the first real
estate organization in New Zealand to establish an
internationally recognised Best Practice programme for its
agents.
“The First National/Plunket partnership is hugely exciting for us a Group as most of our clients and indeed ourselves at one time or another have benefited from the services of Plunket.
“We are looking forward to being able to give back in a meaningful way.”
As well as sponsorship at national level, donations of money, time and goods-in-kind would characterise this new relationship on a local level, Mrs Quaid said.
