Can you get behind the Wattie’s Cans Film Festival

Can you get behind the Wattie’s Cans Film Festival?

What: Wattie’s Cans Film Festival
When: Wednesday 10 November, from 5pm*
Where: Hoyts Cinemas, Event Cinemas, Reading Cinemas and independent cinemas across New Zealand.

A can of food is your ticket to a great night out at the movies on 10 November, with the Wattie’s Cans Film Festival back for its 17th year.

One can of food gets you a ticket to a family blockbuster, such as Despicable Me, Karate Kid or Cats and Dogs 2. Wattie’s will match each can donated with one of its own and all cans go to The Salvation Army. It’s a cheap, fun night out for the family to enjoy, while also supporting a great cause!

The Wattie’s Cans Film Festival provides essential support for The Salvation Army, stocking up its food banks so The Sallies can continue to help those in need around the busy and often costly Christmas period.

This year is no different – with the rising cost of living continuing to affect New Zealanders, more and more families are turning to The Sallies for help.

Once again, Hoyts Cinemas, Event Cinemas and Reading Cinemas are generously offering their theatres for the night, along with independent cinemas at 40 locations across the country.

More details are coming soon, but for now, save the date – Wednesday, November 10 – for a night of fun and entertainment and a chance to lend a hand to those who need it the most – all in the one sitting!

* Details will be on the Wattie's website shortly, see www.watties.co.nz.
