Kelly steps out of the chef whites to play host

MasterChef NZ runner-up Kelly Young hosts new MasterChef judge

Kelly steps out of the chef whites to play host to celebrity chefs and new MasterChef judge Josh Emett

MasterChef NZ runner-up Kelly Young has successfully transitioned from contestant to foodie personality with the announcement that she will be the host to new MasterChef judge and right-hand man to Gordon Ramsay, Josh Emett, at this year’s Taste of Auckland gourmet food festival, 18 – 21 November.

Where the big names of the festival take to the stage and entertain foodie revelers, the Fisher & Paykel Chefs Kitchen is where Kelly will be behind the microphone and the likes of Matt Moran, Australian MasterChef judge, Eugene Hamilton, executive chef at Simon Gault’s Euro and Josh Emett will be the ones wearing the chef whites.

“I can’t believe I am now the one asking the questions of internationally renowned chefs and talking to them about what they will be making and how we can work together to put on a great show for the attendees to Taste of Auckland,” says Young.
“I love sharing my passion for food and I get to do this alongside some of New Zealand’s most successful chefs”.

Kelly has been working hard since leaving the MasterChef kitchen with school appearances, food show demonstrations, catering contracts and is well on the way to achieving her ambition to have her own TV show.

The stellar line-up of chefs that Kelly will be hosting at Taste of Auckland include:
Warren Turnbull – owner of award winning restaurant Assiette in Sydney, has worked with the likes of Marco Pierre White and is recognised as one of Australia’s best young talents.
