UCOL students provide visual feast
A visual feast awaits visitors to the UCOL Applied Visual Imaging Exhibition at the Te Manawa Art Gallery later this week.
The exhibition celebrates the culmination of three years study for the 42 graduands of the Bachelor of Applied Visual Imaging (BAVI) programme. Five Diploma in Photographic Imaging students will also showcase their year’s efforts in the exhibition.
A diversity of works in photography, graphic design,
web design, animation and video will be on display.
Chris Hubbard, Head of School of Photography and Design at UCOL, says: “The graduate students have worked well together and have produced an exciting variety of creative work.”
Three students will each present an artist talk on their inspiration, vision and the methods and techniques they used to express their creativity, when the exhibition opens to the public on Saturday 6 November.
BAVI Programme Leader and exhibition organizer Rachel Hoskin says, “The work the students have produced for the exhibition forms the basis of their portfolios and their launch into the creative industries.”
