Tickets On Sale For Classic Speedfest

MEDIA RELEASE 9 FEBRUARY 2011

Tickets On Sale For Classic Speedfest

Tickets have gone on sale for one of the highlights of the season at Teretonga Park, the Evolution Motorsport Classic SpeedFest.

The event, which attracts an international line up of classic motor racing machinery each year, will take place over the weekend of 19/20 February.

This years event promises to be a beauty! The mighty Formula 5000 cars of the 1970's are back for the first time in many years and a fantastic line up of drivers from all over the globe has been assembled.

Evergreen kiwi Ken Smith will pilot the Lola T430 that has powered him to plenty of success on both sides of the Tasman over the past few seasons but he will have his work cut out with two very well performed internationals - Canadian Jay Esterer (McRae GM1) and Englishman Mark Dwyer of Huddersfield in a Lola T400 both expected to be on the grid.

Also on the programme are Historic Touring Cars, Classic Saloons, Sports Cars and Racing Cars along with Vintage Cars and the Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Saloons.

Tickets for the weekend cost just $25 if pre-purchased from one of these outlets:

Auto Centre, Invercargill

Cooke Howlison Toyota, Dunedin Mag and Turbo, Dunedin

Roy McDonald Automotive, Dunedin

Harrison Supplies, Gore

Frankton Automotive, Queenstown

Errol Stentjees Autos Cromwell

Tickets purchased at the gate over the weekend will be priced at $30. Children under 14 accompanied by an adult receive free admission.
