Bestselling author Lord Jeffrey Archer to tour New Zealand in March

International bestselling author, former politician and former British 100 yard dash champion, Lord Jeffrey Archer, is launching a nationwide speaking tour in conjunction with Paper Plus. The Dinner with Lord Jeffrey Archer is taking place in the Wellington Town Hall on the 16th of March and Auckland’s SKYCITY on the 18th.

Archer is expected to delight audiences with tales of serving five years in the House of Commons, 14 years in the House of Lords and two years of incarceration in Her Majesty’s prison system. In addition to selling over 250 million books worldwide, Archer is well versed on topics ranging from impressionist paintings to US politics. This ensures he will be highly entertaining to guests from all walks of life.

Paper Plus CEO, Rob Smith, says that bringing Archer to New Zealand is a huge coup. “Lord Archer is an incredibly skilled orator who is sure to keep his audiences enthralled with tales of the highs and lows of his incredibly diverse career. We’re delighted to be able to bring such a prominent author to Kiwi audiences. The charity auctions being held on the nights are also a great opportunity to help raise money and awareness for our charity partner, Cure Kids,” says Smith.

Guests on the night will dine on a sumptuous three course gala-dinner consisting of New Zealand’s finest food and wines. The Masters of Ceremonies will be Paper Plus’ Book Ambassador Kerre Woodham and Ginette McDonald with additional entertainment provided by Hello Sailor’s Dave McArtney, former Cirque Du Soleil performer Ebon Grayman and musician Andrew Mockler.
