Couple realise their wedding dreams this Valentines Day!
10 years ago, Debra and Paul
from Island Bay planned the perfect wedding.
A small
family affair at home. The dress, the catering and the
honeymoon were all organised. But things never go to
plan.
“The night before our wedding, I went into labour
10 weeks early!!!” Says Debra.
Determined to go through
with the wedding Debra pleaded with the hospital to let her
leave early to go home and get married.
With only 30 minutes to spare, Debra dashed from the hospital to the supermarket in her PJs to buy wine for the guests. When home, she threw on her dress, now way to big for her, and tied the knot.

“I then had to kick everyone out so that I could go back to the neo natal unit to be with my baby boy!”

Debra and Paul never did get around to having a ‘proper’ wedding, so when they heard about the opportunity to renew their vows with The Breeze they jumped at the chance.
“We didn’t even manage to go on honeymoon, and actually haven’t managed to get away just the two us since!”
Debra and Paul will now be treated to a very special reception at the Intercontinental Wellington with friends and family to realise their dream of having a real wedding they so desperately wanted 10 years ago.
