Much More Music Cancel Shows In Christchurch

Much More Music Cancel Shows In Christchurch

The Christchurch earthquake of Tuesday 22nd February has affected New Zealanders everywhere.

Much More Music, like the rest of NZ have their thoughts with Christchurch and its people while they come to terms with the recent tragedy.
The city has been a regular fixture on the itinerary of many performers Much More Music have toured nationwide in the last twenty-plus years.
In that time the company has built strong relationships with Canterbury musicians, media, venues, vendors, & operators.

Due to the magnitude of destruction in the city, Much More Music has regretfully chosen, to cancel the shows they are promoting in Christchurch until further notice.
While this has not been an easy decision to make, Much More Music and the artists they represent, realise that Christchurch and its people need time to recover and heal . The status of the venues situated in the CBD are currently not confirmed and continuing to promote these shows during this period is not appropriate.
Much More Music hope that under the circumstances Christchurch people, and ticket holders will understand and respect these cancellations.

The following shows are to be cancelled -

Justin Townes Earle at Al’s Bar – Thursday 24th March 2011
Michelle Shocked at The Bedford - Friday 15th April 2011
Mavis Staples, The Blind Boys Of Alabama & Aaron Neville at The Christchurch Town Hall on Saturday 30th April 2011
Kyuss at The Bedford – Friday 13th May 2011
