UFO Sighted At Western Park

UFO Sighted At Western Park

Scientists have been mystified by reports of unusual extra-terrestrial activity around the Western Park area in the past few weeks. Visitors to the park have reported experiencing "warm, prickly sensations" before passing out only to wake up in a strange white room and seeing flashing lights.

"I thought I was dreaming but my wife said she saw them too," said a source who wished to remain anonymous. "We both saw these little green men with strangely flat faces talking to each other in heavily-accented English They were standing in front of these machines that I presume were computers and talking about...p...pppprobing." The source broke down at that point and could not continue the interview.

If the above scenario has your hot little imaginations running wild, then come on down to the lower end of Ponsonby's Western Park this Friday, 11 March for Sci-Fi Under the Stars, a free outdoor movie screening of two great sci-fi films, hosted by Media Design School.

We will be showing First Contact, a tongue-in-cheek short film about what happens when alien sub-contractors go rogue, by Advanced 3D students at Media Design School, followed by the feature presentation - Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Get a group of friends, bring a blanket and picnic basket and make a night of it under the stars as you indulge in a spot of exra-terrestrial therapy.

What: Sci-Fi Under the Stars
When: Friday, 11 March, 8pm - 10.30pm
Where: Western Park (lower end), Ponsonby

ends
