Celebrate Earth Hour with Taylors Eighty Acres wine
Say cheers to Mother Earth this Earth Hour with a glass of 100% carbon neutral wine from the Taylors Eighty Acres range.
At 8.30 pm on Saturday 26 March 2011, the Taylor family encourages New Zealanders to lead the rest of the world in turning-off the lights and making Earth Hour an enjoyable experience.
In four years Earth Hour has grown to become the world’s largest environmental campaign in history, with hundreds of millions of people from 128 countries and territories switching out their lights in support of the planet.
“Earth Hour is a fantastic initiative that crosses languages and cultures to lift environmental awareness of people across the globe,” says Clinton Taylor, Environmental Ambassador at Taylors. “The environment is very dear to the Taylor family and this commitment is what provided the foundation for our Eighty Acres range of wines.”
Eighty Acres is the world’s first 100% carbon neutral wine compliant to the international standard for Life Cycle Assessment (ISO14044).
In addition to several coveted environmental awards including the 2010 Banksia Award for ‘Leading in Sustainability’ and the 2010 NAB Agribusiness ‘Environmental and Energy Management Award’, Eighty Acres was selected to be served at an official function at the Copenhagen Climate Change conference in 2009.
Not only is the newest collection from the Taylors wine family 100% carbon neutral, but the range boasts a host of awards including a trophy and seven gold medals for its quality and flavour.
Unsurprisingly, the Taylors vineyard lies in the heart of renowned Australian wine Mecca, Clare Valley and is both owned and operated by the green conscious, third generation of Taylors.
The Taylors have a special connection to Earth Hour as the wine sponsor for its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award in the home of Earth Hour, Sydney.
Join the Taylors family and celebrate Earth Hour in style with a glass of 100% Carbon Neutral Eighty Acres and in a romantic candle lit setting.
