Islands in the Sun...
Two wildly different shows hit the BATS stage this week - The Chathams and Mara and the Bushkas. We are really excited to welcome Toby Leach and Jonny Moffatt back to BATS with The Chathams and judging by the laughs coming out of the theatre as they pack in, audiences are in for a rollicking good time with this new theatrical documentary. As their lighting designer put it - "I laughed a lot and I learned something!"
Mara and the Bushkas play BATS Thursday, Friday and Saturday and are recording the shows for a Live at BATS album. Check it out - it could be the next Fly My Pretties and you can say you saw it here first.
And we finally farewelled our Tech Manager Anneliese after 4 amazing years holding BATS together. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours, which include going to New York to see Spiderman: The Musical. Awesome.
See you at the theatre!

Win cool stuff!
I am constantly forgetting where I put my keys and iPhone, but Claire in upcoming play Fuddy Meers forgets everything. Every day. Kind of like Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates. To be in to win a double pass to opening night simply tell me your favourite Drew Barrymore movie Mine? ET. The amount of times I tried to make my bike fly when I was a kid...
Congrats to Victoria Collerton-McKay who has picked up a double pass to the opening night of The Chathams Wicked.
