Hot Pink BATS!
The 2011 International Comedy Festival is here! Over the next 3 weeks BATS will be home to some crazy new New Zealand comedy, featuring a bunch of your favourites, as well as some sparkling newcomers. I was at the Visa First Laughs Comedy Gala last night and got a sneak preview of a bunch of the acts hitting the stage - there really is something in there for everyone. And for you BATS peeps who live out of Wellington, check your listings because a lot of these shows are coming to a town near you!
If you're looking for great value check out our 3 shows for $30 deal this Thursday only - see all three BATS comedy shows for just $30. You may just explode from laughter. There are also some BATS 2-4-1 vouchers floating around the city for use during the Fest, so keep your eyes open for those.
And in behind the scenes BATS news, we farewelled our Business Manager Jim Rush on the weekend - he's off to a sweet new job at the Film Festival. While we are all very sad to see him go, we are excited to welcome Chris O'Neill to the BATS team.
This weekend we also farewelled long serving board member Anna Cameron (also to a sweet new job - this time at the International Arts Festival). All the best Anna!
See you at the theatre!
