Indie Darlings SAN CISCO Release Debut EP

MEDIA RELEASE: 19 May, 2011

Indie Darlings SAN CISCO Release Debut EP, Golden Revolver

Hailing from Western Australia’s musical hot bed, new kids on the block San Cisco are set to release their debut EP Golden Revolver on 13 June.

Bringing together an eclectic mix of indie pop with folksy undertones and slashes of synth, San Cisco have created an energetic and youthful EP of catchy hooks with a laid-- back style which is already starting to receive bNet airplay across the country.

Garnering praise for their lead--single of the same name, (“If this song was brought to me as the next Vampire Weekend single, I would not be disappointed” -- Mike Walsh, XFM London), San Cisco have spent the last year graduating high school, performing at festivals (including Big Day Out and Laneway in Australia) and pretty much playing around town every weekend.

While the band may be young, their musical talent is not restricted by their tender years. With jangly guitar harmonies and rattling percussion, a youthful exuberance and upbeat tunes it just adds to the charm.

Produced by Matthew Chequer (Little Birdy) and Steven Schram (Little Red, Cat Empire, Little Birdy) San Cisco’s album draws on a range of influences, with the band citing everyone from Bright Eyes to Vampire Weekend as key inspirations.

San Cisco have already played this years Big Day Out and Laneways Festival in their home town state. San Cisco’s debut EP will be available from all good record stores and digitally from Monday 13 June.
