Ashburton Art Gallery Committee Collection

18 committee members from the Ashburton Art Gallery have carefully selected up to three pieces that they cherish and proudly display at home to be submitted into the Gallery's 'Treasure Trove' exhibition. There is an eclectic mix of work on display from a handmade tailored suit, pewter figurines, stunning water colour paintings, to abstract pieces.

With all the members passionate about the arts, and some even artists themselves, this exhibition is like a creative melting pot from around the world. Each Committee member will have their allotted space in the Gallery where they will be able to tell their own personal story about their prized possessions, how they came about acquiring the object, and what it means to them. There are also some hidden gems in the exhibition from a handful of well known New Zealand artists.

With 18 members presenting their own individual tastes this proves to be an exciting display which celebrates all forms of art.
