Get Ready To Geek Out At This Year’s NZ Body Art Awards
NZ Body Art Awards 2011

NZ Body Art Awards 2011 are thrilled to announce that JGeek and The Geeks will be performing at the awards this year! The ever energetic musical group have already performed for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, taught Prime Minister John Key how to ‘geek’ and were a leading entertainment act at this year’s New Zealand Fashion Week.

Joining them on the ASB Stage is MC Jo Holley, formerly of TV 2 children’s show Squirt and more recently an MC at the popular Rhythm and Vines festival. The artist registrations have now officially closed for the NZ Body Art Awards 2011, the 54 artists involved this year come from all over New Zealand as well as from Australia, the Netherlands and Belgium; all of which are converging into Auckland’s ASB Theatre on October 1st to battle it out for the top spots!

This year’s ceremony has also developed new awards for those involved, highlighting the emerging talent that is breaking through on our shores. A number of younger artists will be up against one another with the category-crossing Youth Award on offer this year, while those artists who have been painting for less that three years will be eligible for the Emerging Artists award.

This year’s ceremony takes place Saturday 1st October 2011 at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre, THE EDGE
