Natural Therapist nominated for New Zealand Woman of
the Year
Health and personal development coach, Kim Knight, director of the Art of Health, has been chosen as one of five finalists in the category of Health and Science for the NEXT NZ Woman of the Year award for 'innovation and contribution in the arena of health and science'.
The Art of Health uses cutting-edge 'energy psychology' techniques to help people identify and resolve the root causes of chronic health conditions not yet understood by many medical professionals, including chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel, depression and more. This is achieved without the use of medication or supplements.
Ms Knight has spent over 20 years researching and seeking solutions for chronic illness after having been diagnosed with clinical depression in her 20's and chronic fatigue in her 30's. Finding that medication worsened her symptoms, she chose to seek and find other solutions, which it seems she has done.
Ms Knight has discovered that there are core themes in the creation of illness including:
Negative mental patterns and limiting beliefs unconsciously set up in childhood, usually by the age of 7-10 years, as a result of the child not feeling they are allowed to be their 'authentic self'
The suppression of uncomfortable and negative emotions which effectively rewire the cells into a state of 'dis-ease'.
That symptoms are intelligent and necessary communication from the body to the head, and are useful clues which can be interpreted in order to identify the mental and emotional root of the problem
Disease being understood as a state of mental and emotional 'dis-ease' / disharmony within the body-mind unit
Deep-set, unconscious feelings of disempowerment as a result of core developmental and emotional needs going unmet during childhood
Much of her work is based upon the newly emerging fields of quantum physics and quantum biology, scientific research which has revealed that emotional energy (e-motion) impacts cellular function until it is resolved and cleared. Fortunately one does not have to relive the original trauma to clear the issue.
Ms Knight is also the convenor of a series of online global health telesummits on new innovations in health science. A telesummit on chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and chronic illness launches 25 September 2011 and in 2012 her first major event will be on the newly emerging field of 'Emotional Intelligence'.
