OCTOBER 4, 2011: Domination does not come much more complete than this.

Kawasaki riders won five of the six classes at the recent North Island Winter Enduro Tour for jet ski racers, which wrapped up with the third and final round in Wellington.

In addition to winning these classes outright, in two of the categories, it was also Kawasaki 1-2 at the top of the rankings.

It was a total green sweep of the podium in terms of line honours at each of the three rounds, with Kawasaki riders finishing 1-2-3 at round one in Kinloch, on the shores of Lake Taupo, and again at the final round in Wellington.

The Kawasaki Ultra 300X, which only came onto the market this year, was the weapon of choice for many of these winners and, even unmodified, it has already had a big impact in jet ski racing in New Zealand.

In the PoleSki category, Auckland's Paula Power won the series on a Kawasaki Jet Ski followed by another Kawasaki rider, Auckland's Richard Webb. Five Kawasaki riders finished in the top 10 positions in this class.

Taurang's Peter Redmond won both the Runabout Stock and Ironman classes on his Kawasaki Jet Ski, while, in the Runabout Teams' class, Action Sports Direct finished on top with another Kawasaki team, Team Electric, finishing runner-up.

Overall points leaders were the Tauranga-based Action Sports Direct team, its riders on the Kawasaki Ultra 300X Jet Ski.

"My son and I teamed up for the third time winning the final round at Wellington and taking the series," said Grant Nicholson, from Action Sports Direct in Tauranga.

"At Wellington, the first four watercraft across the line were Kawasakis. I have been racing in this series for 16 years and have won it outright before, but have never had such a trouble-free season."
