Ellis, Peebles And Tolan Announced as More FM Hosts

MEDIA RELEASE

Sunday 23 October, 2011

MARC ELLIS, AMBER PEEBLES AND STU TOLAN ANNOUNCED AS MORE FM’S NEW BREAKFAST SHOW

Loveable Kiwi bloke, sports star, TV presenter, world record holder, author and entrepreneur Marc Ellis can now add radio host to his resume. The former All Black turned broadcaster and businessman is taking a day job hosting the MORE FM Auckland breakfast team.

Marc will be joined by TV personality Amber Peebles and award winning radio announcer Stu Tolan , when the new look Auckland MORE FM breakfast kicks off at 5.30am on Monday, 7 November on 91.8FM.

Marc Ellis says taking on breakfast radio will be a new and enjoyable challenge.

“I really enjoyed hosting MORE FM breakfast a few months back and thought I wouldn’t mind doing this each day. I’m a morning person and finishing radio mid morning allows the remainder of the day to work in and on my other businesses and projects. It certainly was fun spinning a few yarns in the morning and I’m looking forward to getting this thing up and running in November.”

MediaWorks Radio Group Programme Director, Andrew Szusterman , added:

“If there is one guy who was made for radio it’s Marc. As a company we’re really excited he’s coming to work with us, and matching him up with Amber and Stu will no doubt will see a shakeup of Auckland breakfast radio.”

Ande Macpherson, MORE FM’s Network Programme Director, says:

“This is a really exciting team that we are putting into the coveted breakfast slot.

“Amber is no stranger to radio having worked at The Edge and her week on MORE FM earlier this year showed she is a strong minded woman who really can connect with people.

“Stu is already well loved by MORE FM listeners and is the ultimate host who can make sure everything runs smoothly.”

The catalyst for change was Jeremy Corbett ’s resignation earlier in the year. The outgoing breakfast team of Jeremy, Joe Cotton and Peter Dakin finished on air on Friday 21 October. Both Joe and Peter will continue to be on-air. Joe will present the MORE FM Network Night Show from October 23 (covering for Lee Plummer , who is on maternity leave), while Peter Dakin will continue to host at sister station Solid Gold.
