Free de-stress courses in Canterbury
For the past year, the Art of Living Foundation has provided free ‘De–Stress’ courses (usually $250) to Cantabrians suffering as a result of the region’s earthquakes. The yoga based breathing techniques taught on the course help to overcome stress, anxiety and depression, and have been effective in relieving stress symptoms following events such as 9/11, the December 2004 tsunami and 2005’s Hurricane Katrina.
