Wellington Firebirds squad to play Auckland Aces in Ford Trophy opener

The Wellington Firebirds squad to play the Auckland Aces in the first round of the Ford Trophy domestic One-Day competition at Bert Sutcliffe Oval at Lincoln University on Friday 25 November is:

Grant Elliott (Captain, Naenae Old Boys)
Joe Austin-Smellie (Wellington Collegians)
Harry Boam (Karori)
Leighton Burtt (Onslow)
James Franklin (Wellington Collegians)
Scott Kuggeleijn (Wellington Collegians)
Andy McKay (Karori)
Stephen Murdoch (Karori)
Michael Papps (Wellington Collegians)
Jeetan Patel (Eastern Suburbs)
Stewart Rhodes (Onslow)
Luke Woodcock (Johnsonville)

In one change from the team that is currently playing the Aces at Lincoln in the Plunket Shield, Stewart Rhodes replaces Josh Brodie.

This match is the first of eight rounds of the newly renamed Ford Trophy, between Friday and the start of February, ahead of the preliminary finals series and final on 12 February.
